Egypt Health Ministry Denies Unusual Croup Outbreak in Schools
Former U.S. President Barack Obama launched a sharp attack on Donald Trump’s administration, accusing it of corruption and enriching the president and his family. He also mocked Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth during campaign rallies supporting Democratic candidates ahead of the November 3 midterm elections.
Obama criticized Hegseth’s focus on the jawlines and testosterone levels of American service members, sarcastically questioning how much time the defense secretary spends looking at himself in the mirror.
The former president also criticized renovations at the White House, including plans for a ballroom and changes to the Rose Garden, mocking what he described as the administration’s approach to the projects.
Speaking at rallies in Cleveland and Detroit, Obama urged voters to participate in the upcoming midterm elections, describing the vote as an opportunity to hold the Republican administration accountable.
He accused Trump’s administration of promoting favoritism and prioritizing personal interests, while also criticizing its economic policies and handling of the conflict with Iran.
Obama questioned the administration’s claims of victory over Iran, arguing that tensions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz had increased Tehran’s ability to influence global oil shipments.
His remarks come as Democrats seek to strengthen their position in Congress, relying in part on Obama’s popularity and his ability to mobilize voters ahead of a closely contested election.
