Sisi: Protecting Egypt Is Everyone’s Responsibility

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended the closing ceremony of Egypt Forum 2026 on Saturday, where officials reviewed national development projects, achievements over the past years, and the challenges facing the country.

Presidential spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy said the ceremony opened with Quranic recitation, followed by a documentary highlighting key discussions and ideas presented during the forum.

President Sisi met Mahmoud Mohamed, a young man with hearing disabilities who had expressed a wish to meet the president, as well as Talia, a child who performed with the opening ceremony choir.

The prime minister presented a timeline of major developments between 2011 and 2014, followed by an interactive overview of projects and achievements implemented from 2014 through 2026. He also presented the president with a book documenting the country's achievements over 12 years.

The ceremony featured presentations on national development, energy sector challenges amid regional crises, and achievements highlighted by young influencers. A film titled “The Generation’s Dream” showcased the hopes and aspirations of children from Generation Alpha for Egypt’s future.

The forum also reviewed progress in the energy sector, including efforts to address electricity challenges, and highlighted the international success stories of outstanding Egyptians.

In his closing remarks, President Sisi said the forum had provided an opportunity to discuss Egypt’s realities, challenges, achievements, and future priorities. He emphasized that the country’s future requires collective participation and responsibility.

“The homeland belongs to its people,” the president said, stressing that protecting Egypt, preserving its stability, and shaping its future are shared responsibilities.
