Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly reviewed proposed amendments to Egypt’s Law No. 187 of 2023 concerning reconciliation and the legalization of building violations.
The meeting discussed several challenges that emerged during the practical implementation of the law, as well as proposed measures aimed at providing additional facilities for citizens seeking to complete their reconciliation applications.
Madbouly stressed the importance of simplifying and accelerating reconciliation procedures while taking citizens’ interests into account and maintaining a balance between enforcing the law and facilitating procedures for applicants.
The proposed amendments were prepared through coordination among the relevant ministries and government authorities to address existing obstacles and make the reconciliation process easier for citizens.
The Prime Minister also directed officials to finalize the proposed amendments after considering the observations raised during the meeting.
The government is expected to complete its discussions of the amendments before sending them to the Egyptian Parliament for consideration, with the aim of resolving outstanding problems and moving toward the final closure of the building violations reconciliation file.
