8 Killed and 12 Injured in Al-Wasati Road Crash

Police investigators are questioning eyewitnesses following a collision between a minibus carrying workers and a trailer truck at the intersection of Al-Wasati Road and Al-Dabaa Axis, near Al-Mostaqbal toll gate.

The crash left eight workers dead and 12 others injured.

Authorities have detained the trailer truck driver for questioning. Investigators are also reviewing surveillance camera footage to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.

The Emergency Operations Room received a report from security personnel stationed along Al-Wasati Road about a collision involving fatalities and injuries.

Security forces and traffic police immediately arrived at the scene.

Initial investigations found that the collision involved a minibus and a trailer truck, resulting in eight deaths and 12 injuries. The injured were transferred to hospital for medical treatment.

Investigators are continuing to question eyewitnesses and examine surveillance footage as legal procedures are underway.
