Menoufia Governor Gives Education Directorate One Week to Prepare Schools for New Academic Year

Menoufia Governor General Amr El-Ghareeb conducted an unannounced inspection of several schools on Tuesday to assess their general condition, maintenance work and readiness to receive students for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The governor visited Al-Shaheed Mostafa El-Farmawy School in West District, Al-Shaheed Mohamed Ibrahim School in Kafr Tanbad, and Al-Shaheed Abdel Salam Sweilem School in Kom El-Akhdar.

During the tour, the governor expressed dissatisfaction with several observations, including the storage of school furniture and textbooks, as well as shortcomings related to painting and cleanliness.

He instructed the Menoufia Education Directorate to address all observations across the governorate’s schools within one week.

The governor also ordered inspection committees from the General Administration for Governance and Internal Audit at the governorate’s headquarters to conduct field visits, review maintenance work, verify schools’ readiness and submit a detailed report on the situation.

Governor Summons Education Director

Governor Amr El-Ghareeb ordered the Director of the Menoufia Education Directorate to attend his office to review the overall condition of schools and discuss the observations recorded during the field inspection.

He also directed officials to identify obstacles, work on removing them and provide the necessary support to ensure full readiness for the new academic year.

Removal of Encroachments Near Shebin El-Koum Teaching Hospital

During his tour, the governor also noticed encroachments around the Shebin El-Koum Teaching Hospital area.

He immediately instructed the head of the West District to conduct field inspections and intensify large-scale campaigns to remove all encroachments, improve the area’s appearance and facilitate traffic movement.

He also ordered the head of the Bettaton local unit to intensify cleaning operations and remove garbage accumulation points in Kom El-Akhdar.

The governor stressed the importance of coordination between local authorities and education officials to intensify field monitoring of schools, improve cleanliness and remove encroachments surrounding educational facilities.

He further confirmed that he would personally follow up on the educational process in the field, alongside the governorate’s central operations room, to ensure discipline and immediately address any obstacles facing the education system.
