The Dokki Juvenile Court sentenced Jody to two years in prison and Marwan to one year in connection with the case involving the death of Hadeer, known in the media as the “tea seller,” in the Hadayek Al-Ahram area.
The defendants had previously been referred to trial after investigations were completed, including statements from the injured woman and eyewitnesses, as well as a review of surveillance cameras surrounding the scene of the incident.
The investigations found that the second defendant was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident, while the first defendant supported this account during questioning.
The prosecution also charged the defendants with causing death and injury, damaging other people’s property, and driving a motor vehicle without a license. The case papers also included charges related to allowing an unlicensed person to drive the vehicle and endangering a child
