Liverpool Struggle After Salah

Liverpool face an attacking challenge in the 2026-2027 Premier League season, with concerns over their ability to create dangerous chances and maintain consistent results following Mohamed Salah’s reported departure to Trabzonspor.

According to the figures cited in the report, Liverpool have scored seven goals and conceded seven, collecting 12 points to sit fifth in the league standings. The team had 15 points and ranked second at the same stage last season.

The statistics also raise concerns about Liverpool’s chance creation. Brighton reportedly lead the list with 27 dangerous chances, while Crystal Palace, Sunderland and Nottingham Forest have 21 each.

Salah’s influence at Liverpool extended beyond scoring. His movement, creativity and ability to attract defenders helped create space for teammates and provided the team with additional attacking options.

Liverpool now need greater contributions from players such as Cody Gakpo, Dominik Szoboszlai and Hugo Ekitike. Improving movement in the final third, passing accuracy and attacking transitions will be essential to restoring their offensive effectiveness.

However, Salah’s departure alone cannot explain every problem. Tactical changes, team cohesion, injuries and the quality of chances also influence results.

Liverpool must develop a more balanced and versatile attacking system to recover their form and remain competitive throughout the season.
