Gold prices in Egypt reached a monthly high on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, with 21-karat gold trading at EGP 6,320 per gram, according to the reported market figures.
Local prices stood at EGP 7,223 for 24-karat gold, EGP 6,320 for 21-karat gold, EGP 5,417 for 18-karat gold and EGP 4,213 for 14-karat gold. The gold pound was priced at EGP 50,560.
Internationally, gold rose 0.83% to $4,154 per ounce following a decline in bond yields from elevated levels.
Global market movements, exchange rates and local demand can all influence gold prices in Egypt. However, the recent increase does not guarantee further gains, as prices may change in response to economic developments.
Buyers should also account for workmanship fees, taxes and other charges when assessing the final retail price.
