Gold prices in Egypt remained stable on Saturday, October 31, 2026, following a pause in the sharp decline that affected global markets.
The 24-karat gold gram recorded EGP 7,148, while 21-karat gold, the most widely traded in Egypt, reached EGP 6,255. The 18-karat gram stood at EGP 5,361, and the gold pound reached EGP 50,040.
Globally, gold lost around 3% of its value, with the ounce reaching $3,914, approaching the $3,900 level for the first time since October 2025.
According to Gold Billion's analysis, rising oil prices above $118 per barrel, renewed inflation concerns, and expectations of continued US monetary tightening weighed on gold prices.
Markets are closely watching Federal Reserve decisions, oil prices, and US inflation developments to determine gold's direction in the coming period.
