Interior Ministry Records 111,808 Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Including 38 Positive Drug Tests

The Egyptian Ministry of Interior continued its traffic and security campaigns across roads and major highways nationwide as part of ongoing efforts to enforce traffic regulations and reduce violations and accidents.
Over a 24-hour period, the campaigns recorded 111,808 various traffic violations, including driving without licenses, exceeding speed limits, illegal stopping, using mobile phones while driving, and violations of vehicle licensing requirements.
Authorities also tested 1,131 drivers for drug use, with 38 drivers testing positive for narcotic substances. Legal measures were taken against the cases.
Intensive Campaigns on the Regional Ring Road
Traffic and security campaigns also continued in work zones along the Regional Ring Road. Within 24 hours, authorities recorded 377 traffic violations, including violations related to passenger loading, licensing requirements, and vehicle safety and roadworthiness.
A total of 203 drivers were tested, with 7 cases testing positive for drug use.
The campaigns also resulted in the arrest of 5 individuals wanted in connection with a total of 6 court judgments. Authorities also impounded one vehicle for violating traffic regulations.
The Ministry of Interior continues its traffic and security campaigns across roads and major routes nationwide, taking the necessary legal measures against violators to enhance road safety and protect citizens' lives.
