Cooperation Protocol Between "Military Production" and the General Afro-Asian Investors Union to Enhance the Implementation of Major Projects*

As part of efforts to support investment and expand Egyptian economic partnerships with African and Asian markets, the Military Production Company for Projects, Engineering Consultations and General Supplies signed a cooperation protocol with the General Afro-Asian Investors Union. The goal is to benefit from the company's engineering and implementation capabilities, and to leverage the Union's network of international relations and investments to launch and implement new developmental and investment projects inside and outside Egypt.

The protocol was signed by Ambassador Mohamed El-Orabi, President of the Afro-Asian Peoples' Solidarity Organization, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the General Afro-Asian Investors Union and member of the Senate, representing the first party. And by Major General Engineer Maged Soliman El-Serty, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Military Production Company for Projects, Engineering Consultations and General Supplies, representing the second party.

The agreement aims to build an integrated framework for cooperation that combines the advanced technical, engineering and industrial expertise of the Military Production Company with the base of partnerships and investment relations provided by the Union in the African and Asian continents. This contributes to creating new opportunities to implement strategic projects and open markets for Egyptian companies.

The scope of cooperation extends to include several vital sectors, led by urban development and infrastructure works. This includes the establishment of new cities, industrial and logistics zones, housing projects, roads, bridges, ports and airports, in addition to conventional, renewable and clean energy projects.

The protocol also includes cooperation in the fields of drinking water, sanitation, water treatment and desalination, establishing and developing health, educational and service facilities, as well as restoring and rehabilitating heritage and historical buildings and facilities, and implementing operation, maintenance and facility management works.

The agreement also opens the field for employing artificial intelligence technologies and modern technological solutions in project planning and management, providing specialized engineering consultations, in addition to implementing training programs aimed at raising the efficiency and qualification of human cadres to suit the needs of the targeted projects.

Under the protocol, the General Afro-Asian Investors Union will provide a comprehensive database of available investment opportunities in African and Asian markets, promote the Military Production Company's projects, and contribute to facilitating access to funding sources, implementation opportunities and potential partners.

In return, the Military Production Company is committed to providing its engineering, technical and implementation expertise for the projects under cooperation, based on its capabilities to execute works according to international quality standards.

Both sides agreed to form a joint committee comprising representatives from both parties, to hold meetings at least once every three months. The aim is to prepare work plans and follow up on their implementation, study investment opportunities and initiatives, and overcome challenges that may face project implementation, in order to transform the areas of cooperation stated in the protocol into actual projects on the ground.

The signing ceremony was attended from the Union side by Eng. Alaa Kamal, Chairman of the Union's Board of Directors, Mohamed Sweid, CEO, Mostafa Saber, Secretary General, Eng. Mayer Girgis, Assistant Secretary General, and Ramy Galal, Board Member.

The signing of the protocol comes within the framework of efforts to enhance the presence of Egyptian investments in African and Asian markets, and to expand channels of cooperation between investors, state institutions and the private sector. This supports partnership opportunities in developmental and productive sectors and enhances the ability of Egyptian companies to access new projects and markets.
