Congress Party Appoints Dr. Bassem Halaqa as Head of Tourism Committee

The Congress Party, headed by MP Dr. El-Saeed Ghoneim, has appointed Dr. Bassem Ahmed Mohamed Halaqa as head of the party's Tourism Committee as part of its plan to develop its organizational structure and strengthen specialized committees with experienced professionals.

The party stated that the decision aims to activate the role of its specialized committees and encourage their participation in developing proposals and strategies on key national issues, particularly tourism, which is considered a major pillar of the Egyptian economy.

MP Dr. El-Saeed Ghoneim stressed the party's commitment to supporting the tourism sector because of its strategic importance in boosting the economy, creating jobs, and increasing foreign currency revenues.

Dr. Bassem Halaqa expressed his appreciation for the party leadership's confidence, pledging to develop an action plan with practical proposals to support tourism and strengthen cooperation with relevant authorities to promote sustainable tourism development.
