Following the directives of Major General Amr El-Gharib, Governor of Menoufia, to continue the "A Day in Our Village" initiative in all villages of the governorate, to enhance field presence among citizens, identify their needs and problems, and work to solve them on the ground, the initiative's activities continued today in Darwa village, Ashmoun district. The necessary equipment and personnel were deployed to implement a package of service and development projects in the village.
The initiative's activities included intensifying the leveling and paving of main and secondary roads in the village, removing accumulated debris, waste, and demolition and dredging debris from the banks of canals and drains, contributing to improving the level of public cleanliness and enhancing the village's appearance. Maintenance and upgrading of the public lighting system were also carried out, along with addressing encroachments and illegal violations on road boundaries.
Nine pieces of equipment were deployed to participate in the initiative's implementation, including loaders, trucks for lifting and transporting garbage of various capacities, lighting towers, and other equipment. This contributed to the rapid execution of the work, immediate response to negative aspects, and improvement of the level of services provided to the village residents.
The Governor of Menoufia affirmed the continuation of the initiative's work in various villages throughout the governorate according to a specific plan, with ongoing field monitoring to ensure its objectives are achieved, the level of services provided to citizens is improved, and the immediate needs and problems of the villages are addressed.
