The 34th edition of the Citadel International Festival for Music and Singing kicks off from August 15 to 24, 2026, at the historic Salah El-Din Citadel stage, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and the Egyptian Opera House headed by Dr. Reda El-Wakil.

The festival, held in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, features around 23 artistic concerts by stars from Egypt and the Arab world, with symbolic tickets not exceeding 100 EGP.

*El-Tehamy Performs August 13*

As part of the artistic season, Sheikh Yassin El-Tehamy, dean of Egyptian chanters, meets his audience on Tuesday, August 13, with a concert featuring his most famous Sufi anthems and poems spanning centuries.

*Program Highlights*

His repertoire includes "Sofon El-Nagat", "Ya Kashef El-Dorr", "Nehya Bezekrakom", "Akad Men Fort El-Gamal", "Labeik", and "Ya Alb Sabra". 

He will also perform poems like "Ozran Sayedi Ya Rasoul Allah", "Bena Bayn Allah Hoda", and tracks from "Mawlana El-Ashiq" series including "El-Hob Menk Eleik", plus albums "Oshroqy Rouhy", "El-Ezz Bel-Hob".

The festival continues daily until August 24, presenting serious arts blending authenticity and modernity, reinforcing the Citadel as a global cultural platform.
