.Maj. Gen. Amr El-Gharib, Governor of Menoufia, honored 229 top-performing students from public and Al-Azhar preparatory schools for the 2025/2026 academic year on Monday, in recognition of their academic excellence.

The ceremony was held at the covered hall of "City Club" in Shebin El-Kom, attended by Hani Anter, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Dr. Hassan Darwish, Head of Al-Azhar Region in Menoufia, Dr. Hassan El-Khouly, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, businessman Salah Khattab, and several executive and Azhar leaders along with parents.

*Event Highlights:*

The event began with the national anthem and Quran recitation by Sheikh Mohamed Hesham, a participant in the "Dawlat El-Telawa" competition. It also featured artistic, theatrical and choral performances by talented students.

Education and Al-Azhar officials praised the governor's continuous support for the education sector and the efforts of teachers and families.

In his closing speech, the governor said the honor "embodies the state's appreciation for every diligent student," urging them to continue striving and contribute to the development of the New Republic under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
