The Al-Azhar Institutes Sector announced the opening of appeals for students of Thanaweya Al-Azharia "First Round" for the academic year 2025/2026, starting Tuesday, July 28 until Tuesday, August 11.

The sector explained that applications will be submitted through the electronic appeals system, at a fee of EGP 200 per subject, payable online or through the student's educational administration.

The student or his guardian may submit the appeal request attached with the payment receipt, while the review of the answer sheet is limited to the student only, upon presenting a national ID card or success certificate.

The sector excluded from appeals: students who obtained full marks, subjects previously passed in earlier years, and subjects canceled by decision. Repeating students may only appeal subjects they sat for this year.

Results of the appeals will be announced on Al-Azhar Al-Sharif portal. If a student's grades increase, the fees will be refunded from the educational area where payment was made.

Under the directives of Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, a higher committee for grievances was formed to consider appeals within 60 days of the announcement of appeal results.
