The Egyptian Ministry of Interior revealed the details of a social media post accompanied by a photo, in which a woman complained that a minibus driver and his assistant had violated the designated route, failed to drop her and her father off after they boarded the vehicle, and verbally assaulted her when she attempted to photograph them.
Investigations showed that no official reports had been filed regarding the incident. However, security forces identified and seized the minibus shown in the circulated photo, confirming that its vehicle license was valid.
The driver was also arrested and was found to be driving without a valid driving license, along with his assistant. Both men reside within the jurisdiction of the First Sohag Police Department.
When questioned, the two suspects admitted committing the incident as described in the circulated post.
The minibus was seized, and the necessary legal procedures were taken against the suspects.
