The Ministry of Health and Population, as part of the "100 Healthy Days" initiative held under the patronage of the President, issued a public awareness warning regarding the health risks resulting from unstable weight, whether sudden weight gain or sharp weight loss.
The Ministry explained that both weight gain and weight loss impose major risk factors on the human body that may lead to several chronic and serious diseases, including:
- *Vitamin deficiencies*
- *Diabetes*
- *Cardiovascular diseases*
- *Cancer*
The Ministry stressed the importance of adopting a comprehensive healthy system based on two main pillars to maintain ideal weight and prevent diseases:
