Phone Prices Rise in Egypt
Mohamed Talaat, Head of the Mobile Phones Division at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, said Egypt ranks second globally after Turkey in terms of rising mobile phone prices.
He stated that mobile phone prices in Egypt have increased by between 6.5% and 8.5%, while iPhone prices have risen by between 5% and 7%.
Speaking on the television program *Yahduth Fi Masr*, Talaat attributed the increases to movements in the US dollar exchange rate, which have affected mobile phone prices in the Egyptian market.
