In a new food-control operation in Menoufia Governorate, the local unit of El-Shohada Center and City, in coordination with the Supply Directorate, seized a quantity of subsidized municipal flour that was prohibited from being traded inside a flour mill in Danshway, before it could be reused and sold on the black market. Legal measures were taken against the violators.

In تنفيذ of the directives of Major General Amr El-Ghareeb, Governor of Menoufia, to intensify surprise supply and inspection campaigns and strengthen oversight of markets and bakeries, authorities are continuing efforts to combat all forms of manipulation involving subsidized food commodities.

The local unit of El-Shohada Center and City succeeded in seizing a quantity of subsidized municipal flour inside a flour mill in the Danshway area.

According to the authorities, the flour was intended to be reused and sold on the black market in violation of the law, with the aim of achieving illegal profits.

The seizure was carried out in coordination with the Menoufia Supply Directorate, and all necessary legal measures were taken against the violation and those responsible.

The Governor of Menoufia stressed that inspection campaigns and proactive operations will continue across the governorate to prevent violators from carrying out illegal activities and to strengthen market oversight.

He also emphasized the importance of dealing firmly with violations to ensure that subsidized commodities reach those entitled to them, while protecting public health and the public interest.
