Egypt Weather: Rain and Fog Expected

Egypt is expected to experience warm to hot autumn weather during the day, while temperatures will drop at night and in the early morning, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority.

Morning fog is expected between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m. on roads across northern Egypt, Greater Cairo, the Canal cities, central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt. Fog may become dense in some areas.

Light rain is possible along parts of the northern coast and the Delta, as well as in areas of Sinai, Halayeb, Shalateen and the southern Eastern Desert. Some locations may experience moderate rainfall. Light showers could also affect parts of the Canal cities and Greater Cairo.

Winds may reach speeds of 30 to 35 kilometers per hour in parts of Greater Cairo, the northeastern coast, South Sinai, northern Upper Egypt and New Valley.

Expected temperatures include 30°C and 20°C in Cairo, 28°C and 20°C in Alexandria, 31°C and 19°C in Ismailia, 26°C and 18°C in Matrouh, 33°C and 24°C in Sharm El-Sheikh, and 35°C and 20°C in Aswan.

Drivers are advised to exercise caution during foggy conditions and follow official weather updates.
