Egypt Launches 30th Wave of Campaigns to Remove Encroachments on State-Owned Land

Local Development and Environment Minister Manal Awad: Strict measures to confront illegal construction and protect state property and agricultural land

Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Environment, announced the launch of the 30th wave of campaigns to remove encroachments and violations on state-owned lands, illegal spatial changes, and illegal construction on agricultural land.

The campaign will begin on Saturday, August 29, 2026, and continue until November 20, 2026, in three phases, in coordination with the State Land Recovery Committee chaired by General Osama Askar, Advisor to the President for Military Affairs.

The ministry held a preparatory meeting attended by representatives of the law enforcement committee, the Armed Forces, the Military Survey Department, the Ministry of Interior, governors' offices and various state authorities.

The meeting reviewed the results of the 29th removal campaign and discussed the targets of the upcoming 30th wave.

The ministry also announced the use of an information platform developed in coordination with the Military Survey Department to record the results of removal operations on a daily basis and link them with systems for state land legalization, spatial changes and reconciliation procedures.

Awad stressed the need for full coordination between governorates, security directorates and various state authorities before implementation begins.

She also directed officials to ensure daily monitoring through the ministry's National Emergency and Public Safety Network Control Center, with governorate operation rooms linked to ensure real-time monitoring and immediate action against any new violations.

The minister emphasized that the state will continue confronting illegal construction firmly and will not allow encroachments to return, stressing the importance of protecting state property and agricultural land and taking legal action against violators.
