Al-Tayeb proposed forming an urgent mediation and de-escalation committee comprising representatives from Arab and Islamic countries who are committed to peace and reconciliation. The committee would work to ease escalating tensions, bridge differences, and resolve disputes among members of the same community.
He reaffirmed Al-Azhar's readiness to support the proposed initiative and expressed confidence in the ability of all parties to overcome their differences, safeguard their peoples' resources, and prevent further loss of life.
