Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and the Ministry of Awqaf are launching two joint religious outreach missions on Friday, October 30, 2026, to Luxor and Kafr El-Sheikh, with the participation of 20 imams and preachers.
The missions aim to promote religious and social awareness, reinforce moral values, and address intellectual extremism.
The initiative comes as part of ongoing cooperation between Al-Azhar and the Ministry of Awqaf, under the patronage of Grand Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb and Minister of Awqaf Osama Al-Azhari.
The missions also seek to promote moderate religious thought, strengthen national identity, and encourage positive values within society.
They will focus on raising awareness among young people and different segments of Egyptian society, promoting a correct understanding of religion, and encouraging science, discovery, creativity, and knowledge.
The initiative also highlights the role of mosques in building awareness, developing individuals, and supporting cultural and civilizational progress.
