Quran Teacher Dies Inside Mosque While Waiting for Prayer

A Quran teacher died inside a mosque in Cairo while waiting for the Asr prayer, leaving his family, students, colleagues and friends deeply saddened.

The deceased, Mahmoud El-Tayri, was a Quran teacher at Al-Shatb Primary Azhar Institute in the Aswan Azhar region. He was known for his good reputation and dedication to teaching the Holy Quran.

According to people close to him, El-Tayri had traveled to Cairo to complete procedures related to an Azhar mission to Senegal. After finishing his paperwork, he headed toward the railway station to return to Aswan.

Before boarding the train, he went to Al-Fath Mosque in Ramses to perform the Asr prayer. He performed ablution, prayed two rak'ahs and then sat waiting for the congregational prayer before he passed away inside the mosque.

His death deeply affected those who knew him, particularly because he had spent years teaching the Quran and serving in Azhar institutions.

His family and loved ones hope that his death while inside a mosque and waiting for prayer will be a sign of a good ending, while ultimately the judgment belongs to Allah.
